I was sad and surprised to hear of Mary Ann's passing, which I only just heard about. I know she adored her inner and extended family all so much as she talked about everyone so often. I worked with Mary Ann for three and a half years in the Prudhoe Bay Lab at the PBOC in the early 90's. I loved Mary Ann's energy. She made me smile. She was funny, and fun to be around. I think of her as MAE as that's how she signed notes to me. Mary Ann shared a birthday with my grandmother, and I liked to send her cards on her birthday. She painted my nails once, and she did such a terrific job that my hands looked too great for lab work! My sincerest condolences to her family. As a part of Mary Ann remains with you, so a part of you remains with her. Bonds of love never die. I do look forward to seeing Mary Ann again one day and seeing her beautiful smile.
